October 31st just happens to be Nevada Day. It is the day that Nevada became a state so schools, banks, etc. have it off.
since there is no school on Halloween we celebrated on the 30th. The school has an annual 'pumpkin run'. All the kids in the school race from one end of a field to the other. The fastest 25 kids in each grade win a pumpkin.
Thank goodness for my adorably slow kids.
