I have been trying to make sure our family is getting out of the house and being more adventurous on a regular basis. It hasn't been easy with my ankles...or rather lack of ankles. But we have been having fun. This past weekend I wanted to head back to Zion's National Park, but David wants to hike around Pine Valley. Luckily David won, because it was BEAUTIFUL in Pine Valley.
Before the hike we decided to let the boys make their own trail mix. We got all the fixings, plus some. Dave found out that gummy bears and banana chips do not taste well together.

There was even a cool Tee-pee Someone built back on a trail. The boys loved the little fort.
Zachary and Coleman were just thrilled that there were 'Real Live' volcanoes around St. George. They went on a hunt for lava rock for show and tell.
We had a great time. Even Ben wants to go back. But I think next time he is going to trust momma when she suggests that Crocs are not the best shoes for hiking in...
