Old McHafen had a farm....

I love kindergarten and love helping out in the class room each week. 5 is one of the funnest ages. The kids are old enough to communicate well, but haven't learned to filter yet. The last few weeks Coleman's kindergarten class has been learning about money. His teacher was joking with them that they are not suppose to learn about money until 1st grade. One of the little girls in the class was worried that a 'mommy' was in the room and was going to over hear their secret. She came up to me and said, "We are NOT learning about money over there!!"

This past week I was lucky enough to chaperon Coleman's field trip to the Hafen ranch . It was fun. They got to wrestle pigs and goats, hold baby chickens and bunnies, and even ride a horse. This little girl is one of the Hafen kids. She was amazing. She would get right in there, chase down a goat and throw it right over her shoulder.
Coleman was SO happy his buddy Bridger was in our group on the field trip.
This calf was 4-days old...it even still had the umbilical cord attached to it's belly!
When Zach took this field trip 2 years ago there wasn't any piglets out. Coleman was so happy he got to see a REAL pig up close. He made me get 100 pictures for his brother.
I think I will save this picture until these boys are in high school. The hats are going to make this pretty good blackmail!
